Program Rules
1. Physical violence and/or verbal abuse directed at other clients or staff will not be tolerated.
2. Abusive language, disruptive behavior, or overt sexual behavior will not be tolerated.
3. Loitering outside the clinic is not permitted. You must be accompanied by a staff member while you are in the building.
4. Weapons of any sort are prohibited in Walker Recovery Center and on clinic premises.
5. Possession or use of any drugs or alcohol in Walker Recovery Center or on clinic premises is strictly forbidden and could result in involuntary discharge from the program as well as legal action.
6. You are expected to inform the nurse, the physician or your counselor of any prescription/non-prescription medications you are taking.
7. Criminal actions committed in Walker Recovery Center or on clinic
premises will result in police notification and follow-up prosecution. This includes selling, receiving, and/or possession of drugs/alcohol.
8. You are expected to behave in a civil, decent, and respectable manner while in
Walker Recovery Center or on clinic premises. You are expected to
wear appropriate clothing. You will be sent home if you arrive without shoes
and/or shirt, have clothing with logo/design advertising alcohol, drugs, and/or
other inappropriate, unacceptable design/words. ...
9. Consistent use of illicit drugs and/or alcohol could be grounds for involuntary discharge from the program.
10. You must provide a toxicology sample upon request of any staff member. You must expect to be observed by a same sex staff member and/or nurse while you produce the toxicology sample. Cold/room temperature urine provided will be considered "positive". A toxicology screen results with a low specific gravity (indicating the specimen is watered down or it is just water) us considered "positive". A refusal to provide a toxicology specimen is considered "positive". A refusal to provide a toxicology will be counted as two "positive" results and will result in appropriate consequences.
11 You are required to either attend group and/or individual sessions with your counselor as stated in your treatment plan. Consistent refusals to attend will negatively affect your progress in treatment, and thus your eligibility for take-home privileges.
12. Smoking is not permitted in the building. You may smoke outside in the designated area. You are asked to discard your cigarettes and/or cigarette butts in the containers provided outside.
13. Failure to produce verification of essential facts as requested by program staff may affect your retention in treatment and your ability to receive and/or keep take home privileges. If on probation or parole, you must notify your contact person and obtain a copy of your probation or parole papers for Walker Recovery Center.
14. Cars should be parked in the designated parking areas. Anyone observed parking in assigned or handicapped parking areas will be asked to move their vehicle.
15. Speeding through the clinic parking lot, "scratching off", or "squealing tires" while entering or exiting the parking area can result in disciplinary actions.
